    I am highly sympathetic from a policy standpoint that we needed a reckoning vis-a-vis China before it's too god damned late. We really underestimated their capabilities in the early 2000s. This along with Iraq are the two biggest geo-political blunders of the US in the past 20 years.

    Tearing up the TPP was stupid. It basically shifted the entire pacific into China's hands. At most he should have just significantly re-drafted it instead of abandoning it. We were writing the majority of the terms of it anyways.
