I am curious as to how much of an impact the UW AD’s financial health at the time of her hiring played into this as well.DerekJohnson said:

I don't believe all the gender pay gap stuff because there are many factors that often come into play and the discrimination isn't always what the activists claim. But in this case it is curious, the sharp contrast in starting salary relative to colleagues.
I don’t care if the reason was sexism, her inexperience, etc., - just as long as she gets the raise she deserves that’s the important thing. -
