Pretty sure holding is just a way to avoid actually blocking. Grab a guy's shirt and hold on, that what a child does when they are trying to stop a parent from walking away. I like the one video of Gaskins run that was on here recently on the fake double reverse, Brandy pretended like he was not blocking to avoid a penalty, but we all know why he didn't try to block at all.
