A page and a half in and no one has mentioned the REAL best show of all time yet.

    Sad.

That show is the best comedy show of all time and I can’t imagine how it wouldn’t be seen that way.

I went back and tried to watch it and I couldn’t. Not that it hasn’t aged well, the problem is that humor needs surprise and everything in the show has become so deeply embedded in our society (“I’m Rick James bitch!”) that it was weird on some level.

Other comedies have been good, but that show is transcendent.

Kinda short lived I thought but definitely in the conversation. There were moments that I don't think will ever be matched.

The brief clip of the gay landscaper dancing along with the lawnmower probably made me laugh more suddenly and harder than anything I've ever seen on TV.

True greatness is obvious even in short-term increments ...

Forget even the entire Chappelle Show run, it's the 1st season that will never be duplicated. The 2nd season was ok ... but the 1st was at its own level.

Chappelle Show isn't even the top comedy. At best, it's in the top 5.

I've gotta admit my two favorite shows ever are both cartoons. Simpsons for the first ten years or so and South Park have eaten up more if my time than anything else ever filmed. They must be that good.
