Chinese President Xi said Beijing will "significantly lower" tariffs on auto imports; no direct mention of trade dispute with Trump.

Barack Obama, how can this be?

The US Exported about 250,000 cars to China in 2017 with a 25% tariff. China doesn’t export cars under any Chinese brands to the US. This is an area where we are already twinning. Lowering the tariffs will help export more cars for sure. But the promises of opening banking and finance to foreign entities and playing fair with intellectual property seems more promising.

People forget that China’s economy is better when the US’ is better.
