That picture reminds me of my grandpa who bought a Toyota in the late 1970s. My grandma's brother was so mad that my grandpa bought a "jap" car that he wouldn't talk to my grandpa for a good 10 years after that. It caused quite a rift. The funny thing is that same ornery great-uncle had no problem buying a kraut car, I guess because our family was all descended from krauts.
