I really like Bend / Sun River / Redmond. Still cheaper than Seattle in a lot of places around there, but you gotta be able to earn a living.

The Bend High Desert 100 was always my favorite place to go with the dirt bikes. Flying across the desert on a dirt bike going somewhere near 100 always made my dick feel good (great).

I'm changing my vote to BWk now after having lived here for coming up on a year. The winters are totally mild and I will take a little bit of snow (40" on average at my house) all day long over the West Side rain. Summers can get a tad hot but temp swings overnight are great for not having to run AC constantly.

2018 prices? Lulz. It was still cheap as fuck back then @Kaepsknee . You should see the 2021 prices.

Man you're so right. I love the area and just did some cursory review of houses and pricing and it didn't look like much of anything of value was available. I thought maybe there might be options available in the outlying areas but I couldn't find anything on the internet at least.

I guess I've always thought of the Bend/Black Butte area as alpine. YS, I've always thought I wanted to retire there but can't imagine spending $2mm to get what I want in a home. I'm jealous.
