Do my eyes deceive me, or do I see FAU in there? I for sure see Oregon and the real USC, for those who don't believe in "flashy recruiting". If we could just fucking sell this program we might get some top recruits too, but of course we have to treat recruiting as some kind of vetting process...

Bashing UW recruiting is fine, bashing UW DB recruiting is FS.NorwegianHusky said:Do my eyes deceive me, or do I see FAU in there? Jesus fucking Christ, are we gonna have this shit for every kid in the country who doesn't pick uw? You seem to be pining for UW to adopt Oregon's recruiting philosophy. Are you even aware of how UW finished in recruiting last year compared to Oregon?NorwegianHusky said:Do my eyes deceive me, or do I see FAU in there? If it's generally true, it's generally true. Of course we're not going to get every kid we offer, but resonating less with a Cali recruit than mediocre east coast teams when we ostensibly have real interest is not a good thing.bananasnblondes said:

Not saying we should adopt Oregon's strategy at all. Sending out 300 offers is idiotic. Not selling your program appropriately because you want to weed out weak links in the fucking selling phase is also idiotic.
These are not mutually exclusive view points. You guys are so fucking narrow-minded when it comes to this shit. You can't see the forest for the trees because you zoom in one fucking detail and ignore all the rest.
Not saying that I don't say stupid shit sometimes because I absolutely do, but 80% of the time someone disagrees with me here it's out of some idiotic false equivalency or false dilemma.
TWO THINGS THAT ARE VAGUELY RELATED CAN BOTH BE TRUE.
Fuck. -
in no ballz i trust. he had a monster db class last year, i expect the same this year. db recruiting is not an issue at uw as long as no ballz in charge

Mistake number one. Caring what people on here think. Mistake number two. Same as number one.NorwegianHusky said:

The bigger issue to me isn't that UW isn't in the Top 8 it's that we're seeing an increasing number of kids from the West Coast including a ton of SEC and East Coast schools in their Top 8's and the like ...
It's not a UW branding issue at this point ... it's really a PAC 12 branding issue driven by Larry Scott FS -
He been gone but I'll leave it to the expurts to decide if it's a good thing he's staying in the Pac
Edit: adding the screenshot in case it gets deleted.

Yeah that dude got some heat after spoiling his commitment which is in a few weeks.UW_Doog_Bot said:He been gone but I'll leave it to the expurts to decide if it's a good thing he's staying in the Pac

OKG
While 2019 St. John Bosco HS CB Chris Steele claims USC isn't the perfect fit for him, the Trojans actually parted ways with him because of the high potential for NCAA drama.
Shortly after Steele committed to USC, the Trojan compliance office was approached by multiple parties, including USC247.com, with evidence he took improper benefits. The evidence shows these benefits were funneled from USC recruiting reporters. Scott Schrader of TrojanInsider.com and Ryan Young of TrojanSports.com are the two reporters accused of doing so. Ryan Abraham and Gerard Martinez of USCFootball.com were also said to be approached about providing improper benefits to Steele, but there's no evidence they did.
USC still holds commitments from 2019 cornerbacks Trey Davis and Max Williams and are recruiting several other cornerbacks to join the class -
Imagine if Kim, Eklund, and Fetters worked this hard...insinceredawg said:OKG

Sounds like USC247 (not to be confused with the actual 247 USC site) is trying to throw their competitors under the bus. This is taking it to another level from Doogman accusing Roof of costing us a recruit for spoiling a commitment announcement.
