(1) You're lucky that you're not on the no-fly list; all those places are fronts for AQ;

(2) There's a decently-active mussellmann insurgency in that part of Thailand; kind of ballsy staying in an AQ hotel

Had no idea. Was recommended by a buddy of mine who stayed there some years prior. Res was in my wife's name and now she's TSA Pre. Talk about a failure by the DHS. Sad!!

At any rate, Railay Beach, is drunken, stupid, Leonardo DiCaprio wannabe backpacker hell. Don't recommend at all. We took a boat over to a more secluded part of Phi Phi and stayed at Hotel Zeavola. Highly recommend.
