Ben Davidson is my favorite NFL player of all time. He was a good player, but I mostly love him for his personality. He was entertaining as fuck both on and off the field. He did his own thing and never gave a shit what anyone else thought of him.
Shaq was the no.1 safety and no.3 overall by Scout. No. 4 overall by rivals.
Unless Napoleon, Lincoln and Tommie Smith were concencus top 3 overall in the country, you have to go with Shaq.
Have we ever pulled the top recruit overall?
No knock on Shaq, he might have the most stars...but Nappy averaged 98 yards a kick return his senior year. He was Bonkers!
That's not the question. Admittedly I started this thread thinking who is the best player aka best recruit from every state to come to UW in history. That's why unanimous all-Americans like Kikaha from Hawaii, Emtman from Washington are obvious.
But somewhere it shifted to who was the highest rated recruit from every state. So Shaq is it from California.
I think Grandpa Race's backstory insinuated the best guy we got from every state. "Ultimately they are all recruits, so who is the best?" Sorta thing.
I'm also wasted at a Christmas party so I'm not going to pretend to be reading comprehension guy.

No wonder he got some acting gigs. That's Oscar worthy chit right there.
