He strikes me as a 2-3 year project before getting on the field as a lot of the film in the UW video had him more at the LB position so there's going to be a transition.
My guess is that he'll bulk up a bit and play more at what I'd say is the Bigger DT position in the Gaines/Qualls mode.
I think you can definitely see that we're targeting 2 different types of DL ... 1 more of the bigger holding run stuffing variety and the other being more or a potential penetrating terror type that is an elite caliber "big" athlete that can get into the backfield and collapse pockets. -
I like that he got some carries in high school. Kind of fits a mold that CP likes. Qualls, Vea, Gaines, all rushed the ball and it speaks to a level of athleticism. I should add I also trust the defensive line evaluation of the Utah coaches.
