Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
I'll try to provide this free service for you on Mondays from now on. Like any service that is free, or $10.95 per month, don't expect anything substantial.
On to the blog:
Nothing new to report this week but we have a bunch of preemptive excuses and strategies to let dawg fans down easy when the guys we originally tried to pump you up about dump the Huskies by late November. UW needs to be selective this year due to the small class size so that could be scaring kids away.
There are some OTs that UW is in the mix to get a visit from, but it appears that they may not be pressing too hard on them. We're thinking three OL is the target now, but don't expect that target to be met with so few good, rangy athletes available. The staff is not going to take guys just to take guys. Some feel that OL aren't too important in this class since the entire OL will return next year and we only recruit prospects that we can get on the field as freshmen.
On a positive note, UW is starting to look at kickers/punters so you can be sure that any opening left by the lack of good OL prospects will be well filled by another underachieving specialist.
There are some JC players that UW is recruiting harder than anyone else, but don't expect it to work out given the challenges of getting JC prospects in.
There is a top cornerback that favored the Huskies until he moved to Texas and realized he could take his pick of Big 12 schools. We can't expect to compete with the likes of Baylor and Oklahoma for California kids that move to Texas.
That's all for now. I hope to get some information sometime before signing day and I'll share it if I do.

TIA.
And GRAA, ChuckHIV.
If I'm not mistaken, Sark said something last year along the lines of "we're not getting some recruits because they lack the imagination to see how great this stadium will be"
