RENTON, Wash. -- Former Washington star and current Cleveland Cavaliers guard Isaiah Thomas will have his number retired by the school.
The retirement ceremony for Thomas' No. 2 has been scheduled for Feb. 15 when the Huskies host Utah. Thomas joins Brandon Roy and Bob Houbregs as the only players to have their numbers retired by the school.
Johnny Quest was my favorite cartoon. i had no idea Race was a leather dude icon until after. I felt in order to honor diversity it would be wrong to change it

I wonder how Nate feels about this. Hope he isn't upset. He was arguably more instrumental than anyone in the rise of UW bball in 2003-2005
This is a really good point. There's a real argument that Nate was more important than IT. IT didn't completely separate himself from Nate until his NBA career.

IT still hasn't separated himself from Nate. He's had one good year.

He's averaged over 20 ppg with 6 assists three times in his career.
He's had one great year and at minimum two good years.

He's been a far superior NBA player to Nate.
Except for the fact that the team that He left is twice as good without him.... sure.gif

The team he left now has a roster including: Kyrie (top 5 PG, maybe top 3) Tatum (playing out of his mind as a rookie) Brown (Looking like an amazing pick) Horford (One of, if not the most underrated players in the NBA) Marcus Smart (4th year, 6th overall pick who showed steady improvements in years 1-3) Terry Rozier (16th overall pick, in his 3rd year, making a big leap) etc etc etc.
They have 4 holdovers from last season- Smart, Brown, Horford, and Rozier. How they are playing now doesn't have much relation with how good IT was last year.
Comments

He's a terrible everyday announcer.
