If he makes the playoffs again he's gone. Another program or the NFL will come calling and you'll re-enter the personal football hell you've spent most of your lives writhing in agony in.

The only way Pete leave for the NFL is if he wins a natty here. Think about it, he took Boise as far as you can possibly take that program. That game against Oklahoma in the Fiesta is one of the best football games of all time. Towards the end of his tenure there he saw the writing on the wall: BSU won't ever have a seat at the P5 table.
On to UW where the ceiling isn't capped at a NY6 bowl. In year fucking 3 he had a team that could win the CFP if everything went right (it didn't, and Jonathan Smith had a lot to do with it). A lot different than at the end of Boise State where he was burned out, getting blown-out by fucking Sark in Husky Stadium.
The guy has a chip on his shoulder the size of Mt. Rainier and is reinvigorated by being in the Pac-12. If you can't see that, I can't help you. He isn't going to move on to the NFL or uproot his and his families life for a lateral move to a fucking Tennessee. If he didn't take the USC job, there isn't a college gig in the country that could pull him away.
I think a 12 in a row streak over a certain rival is a brewing, too.
