My apologies...the comment on Syracusefan.com was mine but not intended to be a cut, rather to show how important a win this was for UW and Hopkins. A lot of us became UW fans when Hopkins became the coach and have been cheering him on. This was an amazing win for UW and we're proud that Hopkins was able to do something so important in his first year at UW. He's like family to many of us. I watched him play for SU as an undergrad, watched him as Boeheim's assistant and anointed successor for ages, and now am very excited for him and that young group of kids he's clearly won over and convinced that they can compete with the best. I've been cheering for Hopkins for decades and wish him all the best...
