Where Are They Now: Sark’s 2014 Verbals
Nobody other than Mr. 81% actually believed the fable that 2014 was finally going to be the year that all those UW hats on the table turned into recruiting wins over USC, Oregon, Oklahoma, Bama, etc. But that being said even if Sark had STAYED and landed every one of the 4 and 5* recruits stupid enough to listen to him we were still already fucked because the Sark 40% attrition rate was already baked in via the shitty guys we actually had committed.
To the tape:
Rahshead Johnson, WR: Originally part of the St. Tosh Massacre (LOL!) he followed Sark to USC and then to oblivion. Ended up at SJSU where he racked up 7 catches for 103 yards and 2 TDS this year.
Erik Brown, WR: Became the highest rated POS to commit to Cal. Never saw the field in an offense built for shit WRs. Went to JC where, after a heated commitment process, he ended up at UTEP. 12 catches for 151 yards in his career. Fun fact: Mike Priceis currently the head coach at UTEP. Its mining baby, it’s mining!
Chase Blakley, TE: The Blakley/Sample swap is Example 1A of how much better CP is at identifying talent than Sark was. Ended up at Boise State. He managed to stay enrolled and all his hard work has paid off with 3 receptions for 51 yards in his career.
Jamie Bryant, OL/DL: Did CP actually want this guy or did he just not know how to tell him to go away? Greyshirted and then medically retired.
Natrel Curtis, OL/DL: Was never going to qualify. Went to JC and committed to Oklahoma but then ended up at UAB. Disappeared from the internet sometime last year so I’m going to assume he ain’t come to play school.
Don Hill, DE: Another USC success story. Engaged in an (allegedly) nonconsensual threesome with a teammate involving Xanax and booze. Suspended from team. Did not resurface.
Jonathan Lockett, DB: Went to USC and actually saw the field a few times until Ivan got ahold of him.
Lavon Williams, DB: Don’t remember if that is the right name and too lazy to google again. Signed with UW and provided a valuable service as the scapegoat used to scare the team into actually fucking working hard. Went to JC and put some highlight tapes up but never signed anywhere.
Drew Lewis, LB: Finally, a success story. Went to JC after washing out of UW. Ended up at CU where he starts and is basically Cort Dennison.
I think that is everyone. Going to take a cold shower now.
