How many guys can run a 10.4 100 meter (for those that don't know, that's reeel fast) and throw the ball 50 yards in the air from a knee? Great baseball player too.

Maybe the best pure athlete to play the position at Washington.

Wonder what he could have been in the right system with a good coach.

Of course he did. It was also because he ran a 4.4, was a great athlete, and sucked at passing.

He played HS football at Garfield. He should have played over Paus, but Stanback should blame his parents for not getting him coached up in his youth.

I’m not going to say his reasoning doesn’t have merit. It’s probably true to some degree. He probably was the best QB. If he was actually good, even the leader of the KKK would play him. He only had to beat out Casey Paus.

It’s not like he didn’t play some his sophomore year. He sucked his junior year. They put Johnny Durocher in because he was so bad. He was somewhat good for 6 games his senior year.
