I suspect he was fired for the same reason any coach is fired: he lost too many games. The quarterback he's been playing for a few years is so bad that he can't sit on the pot and take a shit. Get a new coach.

Sometimes football alumni won't give when they suspect a lesbian athletic director won't put their donations to good use (for example - the actual football team and football facilities).
