I am well aware of Mugabe. He took the land from the white farmers after the revolution and ended up starving his country because he didn't take the time to get his own guys in there

All those pictures were taken in the 20th century. Some as recently as the 1980's. Butchering millions of people and stripping their countries of their resources tends to take a toll on a society.
