I watched the ad. Didn't bother me. It referenced the Civil War as history, which it is. The ad also failed to mention that Roy Moore is a serial pedophile.
But Doug Jones?
Four little girls were murdered in that church. For that matter, there were over 20 bombings in Birmingham during the civil rights era. One of the guys who did the church bombing was known as "Dynamite Bob" Chambliss.
Doug Jones is good people. He put two of the people who did this in prison.
There were some noble, honorable men (and some really shitty ones too) that fought and died for a wicked and unjust cause- i.e., the Confederacy. But as student of history, I believe we have to be careful in judging the past by current ethical and moral standards, lest we find ourselves tearing down the Washington and Jefferson memorials. I don't have a problem with the ad.
We don't live in Alabama you stupid fuck. Don't let that stop you from sucking Confederate dick, though. Keep calling it the war of northern aggression.
