The more Petersen says things like that and the less Smith can implement them, the worse Petersen looks if he decides to keep Smith. Eventually, the problem becomes Petersen and not simply Smith

I think Jake audible outs of ever play where salvon is ment to get the ball. Jake's been watching more tape then anyone and he knows if Salvon gets the ball he is taking all the way. he isn't the best player on the field when salvon is out there. The only way he can keep his cobra status is by avoiding salvon at all costs. so what if we lose a game or two as long as he is still the best player on the field?

Hey Jim, it would have worked with black shoes. Gerald Harris wore them in practice. Looked cool. But Lambo insisted on white shoes (which nobody but the Oakland A's wore back then). For such a good coach his fashion sense was terrible.

Pete is starting to look like Custer, but forewarned of the 3,000 Sioux on the other side of the hill. Slaughter is not yet imminent. But if he keeps Smiff, well, does the phrase "last stand" mean anything to him? Smiff is not the hill to die on.

Moreover, no true HCH degenerate wants to admit the fact that if Hugh and Softy are abandoning ship, a big chunk of the fanbase will follow suit with pressure to dump Smiffy. The ball is already rolling for those folks.
