I'm not aware of a rollover portion of Sarkisian's contract. Last I saw, he has 2 years left from the extension he signed in 2011.

After the Holiday Bowl, Woody got nervous and re-negotiated the original. Said it was good for recruiting

    So 2 years remaining - $2.7 million (2014) & $2.85 million (2015). Buyout was increased from 60% to 70%

Also numerous incentives - think one was $25,000 if he gets to 7 wins and $150,000 if UW makes it to a non-BCS bowl game. House money

Paying nearly $3.9 million to send Sark door.ass.out. is an expensive divorce...but totally worth it.

That number might be enough to scare Woodtard into Deathwatch14 though.

This is why recruiting is getting so hard for Sark at UW. The obvious question in every recruits(and parents) mind is: "So how do we know you'll be here for Johnny's Junior and Senior years?"

Everybody knows that as a player one thing you DON'T want to do is suffer through a coaching change and be locked into a school with no options and have the new coach come in and play his guys over you.

$3.9 seems like a lot but its doable

To Sark's credit - he has saved us money. Hasn't reached any of his original goals which are incentivized as follows:

    $100,000 for winning the league
$300,000 for appearing in a BCS bowl

$400,000 for making the BCS championship game
$500,000 bonus for a national title

Just pointing out the silver lining

Shit. I didn't realize his buyout was so high. Well, that settles that.

Unless we terminate him for cause.. Perhaps we should start surveilling Joey's?
