Perhaps. Wilner seems to have a funky logic in how he ranks teams- e.g., he picked UW to win the Pac (and still expects them do so) but still has Kewgs higher on his AP ballot. Basically, his ballot is not meant to be predictive of who would actually win head to head.

AP ballots are supposed to focus heavily on what had been done and not just prediction. I'm not saying his choice is logical in this case but the items aren't necessarily incompatible.

Sounds like he thinks WSU is a better team but UW will win because of HFA. Not an indefensible position in a vacuum. Just indefensible because WSU.
