Bi-Polar @Dennis_DeYoung is the best DDY!! Allegedly he was a YUGE duck fan growing up and doesn't give a fuck about Oregon, but still BONEM.
All kidding aside, I agree with this sentiment. I don't really care if Tre'Shaun is good or not; but no 4 Star Kid in WA should be going to fucking Oregon. It's the symbolism that matters here- i.e., if a snake comes in your backyard, you gotta cut its fucking head off. We can lower the OKG standards somewhat for in-state kids.

I agree but if the kid is a big enough douche/clown to actually sign there, then I'll be ok with it. We gonna stomp on their nutz multiple times over his career. Also Taggart is horny AF for all his Flurrida guys so I'm not sure Tre will see the field for a few years

You mean those Florida kids who will definitely turn down SEC offers after the Ducks go 3-7 in conference and hold true to their early commitments to live in Eugene, Oregon for 4 years?

Agree with the fence part, but tightened the rest up a bit.
Coker and DDY pood about it all the time: You want 4-star guys competing against other 4-star guys for PT. Let the cream rise to the top. If you have to reach in recruiting, reach for a high-ceiling guy. In pursuit of big goals, JAGs can't help you.
If Tre'Shaun plays WR, he'll compete for PT against Ty and Ozzie and Spiker. He he plays RB, he'll compete against Salvon and McGrew. (Pleasant is a JAG. He threw two blocks. Fuck off.) If he plays DB, he'll compete against Rapp and Elijah and hopefully Kyler Gordon. The guys who win those kinds of competitions will match up against Bammer or tOSU or anybody.
Locker room culture matters. But can anybody honestly say they've seen something to indicate Tre'Shaun would be detrimental to that? (See Victor, Azeem.) If Pete didn't believe in Tre'Shaun, he wouldn't have offered him. If he buys in, he'll earn PT and be a fucking monster. If not, he'll sit on the bench or get couched.

Dude, he threw more than just two blocks. Watch the game, you need players like that are willing go out and play their asses off and get no glory. The reason ppl are dooging over him is that he is going to be clocking/blocking shitton next year for Salvon and speedy gonzales.

Agree on everything but Pleasant. But you've nailed the larger point with TreShaun.
To the point about Tre'Shaun buying in and proof ... he chose Oregon and the #WillieKnows hype machine over UW as a Seattle kid ...
When you combine how toxic those same Seattle area schools are in the world of AAU hoops and that's a lot of circumstantial evidence that there's a lot of "me first" behavior in those schools/programs ...
Choosing Oregon would suggest that there's some truth there ...
Evidence that he's willing to be OKG would be staying home ...

I'm right on this one until I'm not
This is basically the point I was trying to make by saying perhaps we can lower the OKG standards a bit for 4 and 5 star in state kids- i.e., if they decide to stay home and play for Pete, this implies, at least, some level of OKGness and a willingness to buy in.
No players in WA that get UW offers should leave. We have a unique advantage in that that is an achievable goal. Even Sark made it happen (before all the WA coaches realized he was a fraud and the bottom fell out)... but it needs to happen.
If kids feel UW is the default school to go to and we are winning 10 games/year over the next 3 years, we are going to see this program hit the fucking moon with all the talent coming up in-state.
So, get Tre'Shaun. Dude is elite.
Reading into a kid's behavior is too much. If we offered, go fucking get him.
@jhfstyle24 yo any word on this kid potentially flipping?? What is the word in the high school world.
Pretty much everything has been said to the extent of my knowledge. Kids at Garfield are giving him pressure to go to UW. UW is still bringing the pressure. Etc etc. It's not a sure thing but there is definitely a chance. The Garfield guy on the team I know is an Oregon fan, and may or may not be going there, so I'm sure that doesn't help our? chances, but even he admits there is something there. The big block was playing WR. I think UW is in it.

Keep working them phones buddy. Thx for the update. Hopefully his mama soon realizes her kid should stay home

Roof's comments in here are hinting at UW flipping an Oregon commit or two... but oddly enough she's adamant it isn't Tre'Shaun.
So I thought this could be referring to one of the following: Braden Lenzy, Jevon Holland, Verone McKinley, Steven Jones, Dawson Jaramillo. Could also be Adrian Jackson but I'm not sure if UW ever offered him. Did some twitter digging, all of them are still very pro Oregon on twitter.
I'll take 81% chance she's wrong, 18% chance she's right, 1% chance we actually wind up with Tre'Shaun
I do think the person she was talking about in terms of lb was kaho. She wasn't the first one to say things aren't over with him. I think the other one was angulo.

We won't flip Lenzy unless the season crashes and burns horrificly for weird willy. We don't want jaramillo. He's such a pussy it's unreal. Give me Beresford over him everytime. Idk about the rest

Think I'm with Teq here. The mere fact that he'd fall for Oregon and Taggart's bullshit in the first place makes you question him. It's like being into some girl and then finding out she slept with a string of total douchebags, thinks some shitty band is great and is lowkey racist when she's had a few drinks. Not so attractive all of a sudden.
Harrison's had plenty of time to realize his new friends are bullshit.

the Ohio states and alabamas of college football sign these guys all the time and they adjust to the culture. The fact that we are still applying pressure to him is all you need to know. We will be fine without him if he doesn't come, But the competition is best if he signs with us. Not getting a priority in recruiting is never a good thing. Especially when he is in in state.
Fozzy has some mama boy pussy tendencies, but I wish he signed with Uw. The pressure to perform for your peers and not suck is high on this team right now and solves most personality issues.
