Running Game Talk

My favorite moment of the Fresno scrimmage was when we went
to a two back set. The three plays I remember were sweeps out of
that set and Gaskin and Ahmed were tackled for losses each time.
I applaud the idea but the execution seems beyond the personnel.
Now if Smith and Lubick would pull their heads out and realize that
we have some serious playmakers this two back set would make a
fabulous changeup and give defences something else to think about.
I'd put KJ back there with Ahmed and McGrew and counter them to
death. Defense flows one way and here comes Ahmed at the weakside
LB. I'll take that matchup every time. It's the basic concept of putting
your playmakers in space which we really don't do well in the running game.
A little creativity could go a long way with this team. Hugh Millen out.

Why don't we just go double wing offense if that's what you suggesting

Yeah!!! Love it.RaceBannon said: -
The last fucking thing this offense needs is creativity. Smiff can't get out of his own way with some of the bullshit that he probably diagrammed while on a transcendent peyote trip in Joshua Tree. Just try handing the ball off to our First Team All Conference running back more than 5 times in the first half and we might actually have some success in establishing the run game.

I only saw the first two drives. But that first td was lavon + gaskin. Seemed to work pretty good there

I support this narrative and have faith in Smith, Lubick and Malloe. Husky fans should have faith in them too.DerekJohnson said:I TRUST THE COACHES
