Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
Today was on our players.
Whoops....what happened to the big money for all those elite coaches who wanted to be at NU....lmao. Yep...today was on our players. Basic fundamentals they should know since pee wee football. I'm waiting for someone to show me where the big coaching flaw was. Other then having players on the field who were incapable of getting the job done. Where were our guys lined up wrong? Where was the mass confusion like we have seen in the past with Pelini? The countless delay of game penalties cause we can't get lined up....the feeling that our guys just simply quit. I saw none of that. Nope...didn't see it....I just saw piss poor play. You guys are right though....coaches should have held their hands and coddled their ass. Here's how you catch a ball that hits you in the hands.
Here's how you don't get beat on the line of scrimmage time and time again by no more than a speed rush on the outside. (pretty tricky) Here's how you don't stare down your receiver from the moment the ball is snapped or force a pass into double or triple coverage.....here's how you take a sack or throw the ball away....or gee how about this toughie...here's how you tackle. Yep....you guys have convinced me....it's the same shit we've been seeing for the past 15yrs to one extent or another. I've already said ultimately the coaches are responsible and I have no problem firing everyone. The coaches have to be held responsible....but it doesn't change the fact in my mind the piss poor play today was absolutely on the players because the mistakes were basic fundamentals. I also know it won't do a damn bit of good. I just think it's funny how so many believe that going through this process again is going to some how come up with a different result than what we have been getting.....as you indicated....that we just haven't paid enough money. I think that's a joke.
I don't have to argue with any of you cause in time I'll be proved right. When they do fire these coaches....and they will... and once again we hire some no name cause no elite coach is interested....and they will.... I'll be proven right and your idea of money as the problem will be shown to be nothing more than a red herring.

Sounds like Nebraska needs to fire Riley and find a coach that can put the right players that execute the fundamentals on the field.
