Eifler is going to be the player this year that will make this board suffer the "Sark syndrome". Everyone is looking to freshman saviors and since he won't pop out like Murphy does everyone is going to assume he sucks. Why is he buried in the 3 deeps!?!?
Then he will take a significant step up next year because people forget that player development is a thing now.
every interview bob gregory talks about him as he is physically ready just doesn't have the experience or the knowledge of the game
Back in the day there was a player named Hilary Butler. We had all the physical tools in the world, but just simply was not a good football players. "Physically ready" doesn't mean shit

Eifler's high school tape was "good" in the sense that you could see he's an explosive athlete. However he was raw as fuck and it was always going to take time for him to see the field on defense. He's gonna cut his teeth on special teams this year, and compete next year when our ILB starters graduate. Beavers and Wellington are ahead of him, though. The fact that a raw athlete isn't starting already is GOOD.
