Who knew they'd be yearning for the Mack Brown days of 8-5.

Mack Brown; four 9 win seasons, nine consecutive 10 or more win seasons, National Champion, and consecutive Rose Bowl winner Mack Brown?

Just about every fan base would eat a human turd to have Mack Brown in Austin results.
    He sucked.
He had more 10 win season that Don James had 9 win seasons...
Extra games on the calendar plus a better program.

Tell me more about the difference between apples and lemons though.

First, I graded Don on 9 wins because of the shorter season. Second, I've been lead to believe UW is a true blue blood that has just been mismanaged all these years. Now all of a sudden you can't expect to be compared to Texas while they had a "shitty" coach because it's hard?

It's hard to make a kick when the goal post keeps moving around.

Mack Brown did less with more than any coach in the history of college football

Only the Doogliest would think UW is on that level.

    Be better.

Dulid anyone catch Herman making excuses and passing the buck after the game? He said something like, "I don't have any magic fairy dust that will erase what this program has been through".

"We're our own worst enemy right now," Herman said. "We knew there would be adversity, and we knew the key to the adversity would be how we responded to it. And we responded to it in the right mental and attitudinal way.

"But the execution and just the self-inflicted wounds at just the most inopportune time are things that are difficult to recover from, if not impossible."

I told our guys, never get used to this feeling, but that if we all thought that we were going to come in here and in nine months sprinkle some fairy dust on this team and think that we've arrived, then we're wrong," Herman said.
