If they are competitive, yes. The 2000 team could have gone the distance, and they were a few ball bounces from being 500

A better measure is do you consistently recruit in the
top 15? The only caveat to this is having a transcendant
quarterback. The only two teams to make a run/win
that were not consistent top 15 recruiters were Oregon and Clemson.
And they had Mariota and Watson.

Getting 8 4 star guys then a bunch of crappy low level 3 stars that you beat out Oregon State for is no good.
