Weird considering ucla had an equally bad season but has like twice the talent level of us.
That chart considers the last two seasons. UCLA was ranked about 20 spots higher than ASU in both years.
Just looking at Rivals rankings (because they are handy), Arizona State had a four year stars per recruit average of just about 3.0 during that timeframe, while UCLA was just shy of 3.6.
It seriously is mind boggling how awful Texas has been for awhile.
I believe Texas is by far the easiest school to recruit
It is not difficult if you work at it at all. Mack Brown stopped working hard at recruiting in about 2006 or 2007. He still got highly ranked classes, but they were soft, poorly balanced and overrated.
Strong had one really good class and one okay class.
Herman is absolutely killing it in recruiting right now. He is selling hope and change. If the team shits the bed this fall, the 2019 cycle is going to be more challenging.

I guess ASU and OSU have more in common then I thought.
