I doubt it but we'll see. He's been hurt because he didn't lift weights at all in high school and came in weak as fuck. I would bet money this Bronson dude is better than him.
People said the same about Turpin this time last year and Scrempos has much more upside given his frame. He's only a sophomore (RS). I wouldn't count his as dead weight quite yet. 6-6 275 lbs guys don't grow on trees. Hopefully this Bronson dude can add value to the group as well.
Scrempos should see limited time in our D Line rotation this year given our current 2 deeps. He'll get a few reps but next year and the year after will be when we need and expect him to step up.
Be nice to Scrempos. His younger brother is an upcoming OL recruit.
I love me some Scrempos. I love the whole Scrempos family. Great people. They are all OKG in my book. They should all just move to Washington. If there is one thing I always say it's that we need more Californians living full time in Washington.
Petersen ideal player development timeline (for players who are not game ready out of HS):
True frosh - sit and RS RS frosh - watch and learn, garbage time minutes Soph - backup role, special teams Jun/Sen - start or strong backup role
Sark timeline: Frosh - just go out there and rip it as a starter Soph/Jr/Sr - GTFO or medically retire because your young body wasn't physically ready for the marathon of punishment one takes
