Pete suspended them both, and if i remember right neither participated in spring ball. Anyways, at the spring game Kim Grinolds (dawgman.com owner/dictator) saw who he thought was String on the sidelines, but it was actually Jaylen Johnson who was an incoming recruit at the time and just visiting for the game. So Kim reported on doogman that Stringfellow was at the spring game, when he actually was not. Kim thought it was String because Jaylen is black and had dreads at the time, like Stringfellow.
So now, Jaylen Johnson will always be known as String. -

I remember Kim's original being a twat, but I can't find it here. This thread is close to the origin story though.
