Wasn't Muschamp offered the job when Ty was fired?

That was the rumor. Texas made him the coach in waiting shortly after.
  • Scott Frost, Doug Nussmeier, Ray Horton....

Just proves these guys are truly fucking morons and should have their fingers cut off before they share such idiotic ideas.

Mora, Craig Bohl & Tim DeRuyter should be the top 3.

Any coaching wish list that doesn't include these three is fucking stupid. I keep seeing Doogs suggesting unproven coaches to replace Sark or Gary Pinkel.

These fucking idiots just never learn. Even when they get it right finally with suggest a coach is fired they bring up fucking lame choices.

Their logic is. Well he is better than sark.

Then we can hire Kirk Ferenz, another doog legend

How the fuck is that guy the 3rd highest paid coach in the Big Ten?
    Iowa's AD:Ferentz::Todd Turner:Ty OR Pool Boy:Sark

With that all said, I'm more and more sold on Bohl. This man ha done miraculous things and they don't just complete a twelve game schedule in the FCS, they have 4 rounds of playoffs. This guy is winning 15-16 games year for the past 2 years, repeating as NC last year, and it appears no one will touch him again this season to make it another 15-16 win season.

He's doing this from Fargo, North Dakota and they play in a dome and win all tier games on the road too. There's no allure to Fargo let alone ND, their weather isn't optimal, but their coaching in all aspects is. Bring his fundamentals, his philosophies, and winning attitude in and you might have a recipe for what we lucked out on back in 1975 and enjoyed for nearly 20 years.

Sadly I can see him leaving for elsewhere after his 3peat NC while we linger and get plunger raped for at least another season.

Just watch wherever he ends up in the FBS, I think he will be successful.

I really like DeRuyter. Was a DC for 17 years at four different schools. Here are the improvements in D under him:

    Ohio 99th to 22nd
    Nevada 78th to 48th
    Air Force 78th to 11th
    Texas A&M 104th to 21st

He was at each place only 2-3 years, so it was a quick turnaround in every case.

In his first year at Fresno, he was 7-1 in conference. Fresno was 8-7 the last two years in conference and TUFF Pat Hill never went 7-1 in conference. Not once.

Bottom line is any of these 3 guys would be a HUGE upgrade over the piece of shit we currently have.
This is why I was supporting him going into the year. I had seen the quick turnarounds he had done as a DC then he did it again as a head coach.

I think you can snatch him up too. He won't be a "WOW!" hire but he is a good coach and I think can turn us into a Rose Bowl team rather quickly.

Time to get serious...Jimbo Fisher, throw him $4.5 million and bring him out to the beautiful NW

We set the tone nationally with Rick salary-wise, do it again

Why would he leave Winston and Florida State? Let's bring up realistic candidates please.

I hear Paul Wulff is available. Maybe he gets some redemption as the Husky coach.

Did you forget about CP dummy?, offer him 5 mil and go from there. He can leave his family there. They can drive or fly over to see Chris. UW has to get serious about football. The soccer and softball team's will be thankful long term. They'll have the best facilities in the pac. Oregon will be chasing us again! Or stick with Sark and copy everything they does, and lose by 30 the next 10 years.

Listen, Ohio st. lost 9 straight to Michigan with John Cooper (check it as I pulled off top of my head, which is usually dead nuts!) They fired his dumbass and hired Jimmy Tressel. The rest is history. CP is our Jim Tressel. Fire Cooper and hire Tressel you fucking idiot Woody! Whatever it takes! Whatever!

didn't some doogs want muschamp, he's gonna be available after this season, can't imagine florida not firing his ass after this disaster he's built

I bet his 11-2 season last year will help him survive for another year as long as Flordia makes a bowl. I doubt he will survive after next year. His offenses have been terrible every year.

The doog logic I'd keep getting before yesterday was "well, who would you get that's better?"

That's not the fucking point. If your coach is mediocre, you get rid of him. That's what the AD pays a search committee to do. But yeah, there are plenty of good candidates out there. THe problem is I don't trust Poolboy to make the right choice to fire his buddy or hire an actual proven football coach.

    Kirby Smart?

Yes, not a head coach. But tutelage under Saban... Defense oriented...

Let's fire Sark who had no prior head coaching experience and hire another coach with no head coaching experience?

    Fucking brilliant!

why would he have any interest in coming here? SEC coordinators don't usually go to the pac-12

He might not ever take a head coaching gig, he could have had any of the recent openings in the SEC and turned more than one down. He's probably just waiting for Saban's aneurysm.
  • I normally don't like hiring DC from programs where the head coach is defensive minded. Like hiring a Pete Carroll DC(Holt or in the NFL Gus Bradley). You really don't know how good he really is without the great head coach leading the way on his side of the ball.
