Trump and the current GOP will inadvertently usher in single-payer in the US

It's baffling to me how this still gets fucked up. The world has already shown the way for 30+ years.

It's baffling how we are still fucking this up. The world has paved the way for 30+ years. It could be implemented tomorrow.

You take the French method of single payer with the option for a private supplement (sound super fucking familiar?) along with Canada's version of contracting to private clinics/hospitals.

Insurance companies stay open along with every private clinic and hospital. So fucking simple, yet it seems impossible.
Whoa whoa, slow your roll, SOCIALIST!!1!
Sorry, I forgot it fully works for education but is Communism for healthcare.
well. you are arguing with the group that wants education privatized as well

People forget Obamacare is falling because of subsidy cuts there is no cost control.
    Fixed.

    And the corollary:

People forget Obamacare is failing because a monopoly only benefits the supplier.
    Excellent point.

Trumpcare will also fail for that reason.

    Trumpcare only benefited the suppliers.

It's almost like you're part of the group that hates competition.

Despite the furore, drug companies continue to charge exorbitant prices in America. Why?

The simple answer is because they can. European governments control prices in various ways—Britain has the strictest system, refusing to pay for medicines that fail to meet a threshold of cost-effectiveness. But in America companies set whatever official price they like.

    Yeah...that's it. That's the ticket.

At least you are admitting Obamacare is actually failing...
The main problem with Obamacare all along was that the funding model was not sustainable.

    I've never argued otherwise.

Big Pharma is the only reason common sense hasn't taken over in all of this. Insurance, providers, and clinics won't skip a beat.

Why the powers that be haven't used the Opiod problem to bastardize the Pharma companies to get public approval to make the change is also baffling.
