This will be the first Finals where I'm 100% Lebron. I was a hater until what he did in the finals last year. Hated him when he went to Miami and he was talking shit when the only "accomplishment" he had was getting clown shoed by the Spurs in his only finals appearance. He lost to Dwight Howard one year for Christ's sake.

Now that he has HIS team it's fun watching him every night be the floor general that he is. I love seeing him chew out his own guys constantly on the floor when the fuck up. You can see how much winning really means to him. He doesn't talk anymore he just plays and he fucking destroys teams by himself.

This is a big finals for him. If he wins he is breathing down Jordan's neck and if he loses then he will have a lot of catching up to do. I also fucking hate what the Warriors have done to basketball. It's not fun watching a team just chuck up deep 3s all the time. Durant is good but he is a huge pussy and I hope Lebron crushes his ring chasing dreams into oblivion.

I am of the same mind. He won me over after last year. Incredible. If he beats this GSW team he passes Jordan. Words I never thought I'd say.

    Go Cavs.

So you all hate basketball where the players actually pass the ball to one another?

    GSW 30 assists per game

    CLE 22.6

    Chinteresting logic.

And Cleveland jacks threes at a higher rate that Golden State as well. (40.2% of possessions- second in the NBA of possession vs. 36% for GSW sixth in the NBA).

    Yea but still

Golden State despite shooting a lot of 3's moves the ball around as good as any team ever. They are a clinic on Offense and they have a top 3 defense as well.

The NBA has changed dramatically in that every team shoots more 3's than the team that shot the most 10 years ago. Even back to 10 years ago, teams drafted the best athletes hoping they could teach them skills.

Now the smart teams draft the most skilled players with the athleticism to make it,

LeBron proved that you can never count him out and Lue schemed to take Thompson and Curry out of the series in the 2nd half of it last year. While Thompson has more or less taken himself out of the playoffs offensively, Cleveland won't be able to do that this year with Durant out there.

If LeBron can pull this one out, He nudges up right beside Jordan as the GOAT.

Can't we just be happy that the 50 week off-season is almost over?

It never began... GSW will run a train on the Cavs.

The Cavs are the best under dog ever. Golden State is going for their third* straight title. The Cavs know if they lose that's how it will be written.

I don't have much use for we would have won bullshit. YOU BLEW A 3-1 LEAD YOU FUCKING IDIOTS.

The Warriors' owner is talking shit. Green is talking about destroying the Cavs.

Golden State will win the first game by 30 then lose 4 straight as Durrant chokes again against James.

I don't know a single person that is a basketball purist that doesn't love watching Golden State play ...

They move the ball consistently ...

Their off the ball movement is spectacular ...

They routinely show that they play for each other and put team accomplishments above individual stats ...

As Pop said after the Western Finals, what the Warriors don't get credit for is how good defensively they are ... when they lock in defensively and mirror that with their elite offensive game it's as pure of basketball as you get ...

If you want to get critical with the way the Warriors play it's that every once in a while they (Curry in particular) will take some 3's that in an ideal world aren't the best of shots ... but it's part of their game and nobody looks sideways about it ...

Forget any BS reason as to why KD went to the Warriors and particularly the narrative about chasing a ring ... he went to GS because of the unselfishness and team atmosphere that is inline with how he views the game (go listen/read any interview before/during the season) and the antithesis of what OKC was ...

GS pissed away the Finals last year and they know it ... the Cavs to me look like a Sark type team in that they are great front runners but sometimes can get a little ragged when they get punched in the mouth. GS is by far the better defensive team. The only thing that the Cavs do better defensively than GS is play more physical (helped them big time last year in the Finals) ... I suspect that this will be in an issue in this year's Finals. GS has multiple people that can at least compete against LBJ ... which is a huge aspect to slowing down the Cavs from just getting whatever they want when teams can't.

I'd be very surprised if the Warriors didn't win this series in at most 5 games.

Shove your "purist" bullshit up your cunt Tequilla.

Except his points are absolutely correct. I'd say Dubs in 6 but wouldn't be surprised at all with either a sweep or 5 game series.

LeBron chased a ring, KD chased a ring. They're both good players irregardless.

Lebron, Wade and Bosh made their own team and that team didn't win until Lebron embraced being the man. Golden State already won a championship and then won 73 games. Durant's a dick rider.

Everybody chases a ring. It's just that for some players, chasing a ring means staying put.

Except for Westbrook. He chases stats.

What's actually hilarious is if Westbrook didn't make sure to average a triple double the same guys ripping him for doing it would now be ripping him for not doing it. Saw the same shit with Kobe. He scored like 60 points in 3 quarters once and took himself out of the game, everyone crushed him. Then weeks later he scores 81 and everyone crushed him.

It's a little different since Kobe has a hand full of jewelry. He never had to choose between stats or rings, he could chase both.

When Westbrook resigned in OKC he chose chasing stats over chasing a ring. That's not necessarily all bad, there's a pro loyalty part of me that respects it when a star resigns with the team who drafted him, even if they aren't a winner. But in this case especially Westbrook clearly wanted the chance to not just stay put but rack up stats.

    Mission accomplished.

That would be great except when Kobe scored 81 he had 3 rings and was getting crushed for not winning without Shaq.

I don't know how you can know what Westbrook was thinking. He also took the deal that guaranteed the most money now and increased his future earning potential. There's something else you can crush him for.

Also I crushed Durant for not winning it last year and I'll crush him for winning it this year. We all do it.
