My 5.9 Cummins HO with zero emissions garbage will go 500k miles before a rebuild averaging 19mpg towing a 5k pound bass boat. While the new 6.7 Cummins with all the bullshit on it will get 250k miles before rebuild and average 12mpg towing 5k pounds.
