Where does the KG/Paul Pierce trade rank in bad trade history?

Boston sent Garnett, Pierce, the FQ homeboy Jason Terry and D.J. White (who?) to Brooklyn. Garnett was 37, Pierce was 36, Jet was 36 and White was White. Brooklyn made the playoffs for the next two years but never seriously threatened to breakthrough.
In return Brooklyn sent Gerald Wallace, the America's cuck Kris Humphries, and some scrubs (MarShon Brooks, Kris Joseph, Keith Bogans) plus their first rounders in 2014, 2016, 2018 AND the right to exchange picks in 2017 (which ended up being a trade down from #1 to #27).
In 2014 Boston took James Young with the 17th pick in 2014 (he sucks but he's still only 21 so may....nah he sucks).
In 2016 Boston took Jaylen Brown with the 3rd pick in what might be a historically bad draft. Brown will probably be good but never great. So far, not so bad.
In 2017 Boston gets the first pick to either deal or take the guy they like best in what is considered a very good draft.
In 2018 Boston presumably gets another top 5 pick because Brooklyn looks terrible for the foreseeable future.
It's an awful trade for Brooklyn no doubt.
Dallas sent Walker, two third rounders, a fifth and a tenth. The only notable player Minnesota got out of those four picks was Jake Reed.
Minnesota sent a few shitty players NOC about, and picks Dallas used to get Emmitt Smith, Darren Woodson, Alvin Harper and a bunch of players NOC about.
Honestly I was expecting to see Dallas got more out of those picks. But still Smith's a top 10 RB of all time, Woodson was a 3 time all pro, and Harper had a few strong seasons across from Michael Irvin.
Fultz (presumably) and the 2018 first rounder are going to have to be damn good to match that.
I think the Walker trade still reigns supreme, but the Brooklyn deal was dumb as fuck.

Fuck off @Tequilladnc said:Driving to work this morning the Memphis sports talk radio guy was discussing the draft lottery and how Bahstan got the first pick despite being in the ECF. Then he says "The Kevin Garnett trade is the biggest heist ever. It used to be the Hershel Walker trade was the biggest heist ever, now it's the Kevin Garnett trade." At first I thought this was ridiculous, nothing's ever going to top the Walker deal. But his co-host then chimed in with "Garnett wasn't even in his prime when they made that deal." So I decided to go back and review the deals and see what really went down.

When the NBA orders you to stop making trades and takes your team away you win the prize. Nobody fleeced more teams than the Lakers by the way.

And Kobe would have gotten another ring if David Stern didn't cockblock the Paul trade. -

Doubt it. Kobe tore his achilles at the end of that same season and was never the same.dnc said:
