For those who have asked -- UW strength coach Tim Socha's contract also extended through 2018 season, w/raise to $340k/year.
$340k would have put Socha roughly 12th nationally among strength coach pay in 2016, per USA Today's database. He made $285k last season.

But if I was Crockett, and the other Tyee's, I would find out what the average salary is for the S&C coaches at Alabama, Ohio St, Michigan, Bama, Clemson, and Florida State, pass the hat around and make that his new salary, then let UW know that money is guaranteed (including raises, bonuses, etc) for 4 years so they could put him on a rolling 3 year deal.
The TSIO guys have touched on it, but after Pete, and DC Pete K, Socha is the third most important person on UW staff.
Lock him up and throw away the key.
Big bois looking good
And it is kind of nice to have a staff where you can actually believe the heights, weights and testing numbers that are released.
