Anything that taxes the wealthy is generally going after capital gains, which literally stops normal people from becoming wealthy.

    It's a ridiculous premise.

    But fuck Utah. Just because.

I'm sure the Republican Congressmen of California and New York will love this.

Author of that article doesn't have a clue on the tax code or any understanding of who pays federal taxes.

Almost like the are only 2 sure things in life, death and taxes. Most states it's several times.... Income and sales tax. Property. Gas, cigarette, alcohol. Then federal.

    You're still an auditor huh?

I mean the Calendar flipped to May, so I figured you might be a lawyer now.

Insurance and taxes. I pay $1,024 a month for insurance.

People don't realize how much they are taxed. You buy a car, most pay sales tax. You register the vehicle, that's a tax. A lot have an emissions test, that's a tax. You need a drivers license that expires all the time (minus the old AZ ones), that's a tax. You need gas which is taxed.

Property tax is flat out theft. If you want to unfuck the tax system start there. They have the audacity to hand out a deed on property. Miss your property taxes for three years and see how that holds up in court when they take your property and auction it off.

By the time you factor in insurance and the hidden taxes the American middle class is taxed fairly close to western Europe, except they have way more to show for it.
