He has said he is not coming here. I take him for his word that he does not want to go to uw. It's over. We will recruit the equivilent of someone that eventually transfers to Montana st in his place. Woof.

If I recall correctly after his piece with Huffman putting UW on blast there were some Twitter comments from Fuller, Wellington, and Levi just off the top of my headCallMeBigErn said:

I always thought the Oregon negative recruiting thing was overblown and felt it seemed more likely that Savell had/has beef with some UW players. The way he out of the blue "called a press conference" to make it known that he would not be including UW in his top 6 seemed more of a "get back" at someone. Then of course, he takes a long break from social media, quits his 7 on7 team, and comes back to social media to get into it with another players dad, it's just weird and suggests hes going through some shit. I dont think he ever even released his much publicized top 6. A few things I've seen posted various places do paint an interesting pictureDawgFader said:Smalls loves the Dawgs and has issues with a couple of guys. 1- his junior year performance at Garfield was not to the level many expected.
2- Hes an amazing talent but it has been suggested on some 247 sites that he is overrated. Not saying he sucks but he hasn't reached the level people thought he would when he was a 5* 8th grader.
3- he tried to transfer to Eastside Catholic and they wouldn't take him.
4- Kenedy was reluctant to take him but ultimately had a meeting and decided that he could transfer because he went there as a freshman.
Anyways, whether or not all this is 100% true, it's being talked about out there. That stuff can fuck with a kid's mind.
I think UW can get back into it if Pete reaches out to him, and he responds. Not sure if either of those things are likely to happen.
I think he's always felt like he wanted to go play "big boy football" and wanted to leave the area ...
But then he bought into all the love that #HometownHero was and realized he backed himself into the corner and lashed out ...
At best right now, he's coming off as extremely flaky and players on the UW team have called him on it (notably upperclassmen) ...
My biggest fear with Smalls at this point is that he's going to turn out to be more of a hype than reality player. It seems like he's bought into his press clippings at this point and there's just too much smoke right now that is throwing off red flags.
I understand why he's such a major recruit for UW to go get in this class ... but at the same time, I'm not entirely sure that I'm going to lose too much sleep if he decides to head somewhere to the South.
What will be really interesting to me is where he ends up if not UW. If it's Alabama/Clemson then that is all about the "big boy football." If it's a Florida/Tennessee level school then you're looking at "wanting to play big boy football but the big boys didn't want him." If he ends up at Florida St then LOL and I'd be buying stock in the bust potential. And if at Oregon, then whatever. -

That being said, there's a lot about what's been going on with Smalls that doesn't add up.
The whole thing has left me with a bit of a wait and see attitude and a tad skeptical
That said, I hope everything somehow works out with UW and Pete's able to drive home the Built For Life message. IMO, the best place for Smalls to maximize his future is under Pete and everything that the UW program offers. -

And then the news of Sirmon returning came out a few hours after that. I'm almost positive that Fuller was referencing Sirmon entering and then leaving the portal in the span of one day rather than a 247 Huffman article about a 2020 recruit.Tequilla said:

PM @bearcats6969 if you want the whole story -
Joey Thomas tweeted out that the disrespect was unreal because Smalls was ranked #4 or something instead of #1. He has and likely still has the wrong people around him.DawgFader said:He’s a talented local kid and has a lot of people with their own interest, way up in his ear. He’s great, but he was certainly way too into the hype. Pete hates that stuff and something happened. We want him badly. I’m not as sure about Pete. He’s stubborn and does shit his way, 5 star or not. -
And this is done. He’s not coming. I can’t see Pete allowing any recruit to bad mouth UW and let it slide.
-
Smalls was spending a lot of time around the program ... then trashed the program
Why would 3 players talk shit publicly about a player staying with the program? Talk about not being OKG -
- Just wish him the best
- keep hoping that he represents Seattle in the way that makes us all proud no matter where he goes cuz we always need positive role models in the community
- keep recruiting the best class outside of him with the thought in your heart that he’s not coming so you don’t get your hopes up
- recruit Jordan Banks every single day with the same intensity as you did with Smalls
- let Smalls’ mom know about Chris Steele’s combative experience FLA where even as the top recruit he had a target in his back for being from the west coast
- let his mom know about Skinny’s UGA experience and how fast he was kicked to the curb
- watch Oregon fail to develop talent at his own position like Jalen Jelks, Winston, and Cunningham
- let his mom know how shady Sark is at Bama
- get Sam Adams, Jalen McMillan, Esteen, Covington ASAP (not take their time bullshit so you can actually have buzz around your movement that people wanna be a part of)
- keep wishing him the best elsewhere while flourishing in recruiting the 2020-21 in-state guys and California so your name keeps being brought up as the top destination for big time talent instead of fracturing between west coast talent looking at UGA, Texas, LSU, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Florida
- then he realizes it’s just UDUB and Clemson and why would you go all the way to SC to be behind a hometown hero kid from SC when you can be the hometown hero in an actual big city and market at Clemson-West -
There are two types of teams in the world.
Those that get Savvy Smalls, and those that want to get Savvy Smalls.

Fuck all of you.
Those who chase the prom queen never fuck her after buying her gifts, paying for her meals and always being there when she's in distress.
Instead she fucks their cuter best friend (Oregon) or the blue-blood rich kid in town who DGAF about her (Bama), and if not that, some KU or Cal undergrad during Spring Break in Mexico or South Padre Island.
The potential for Locker Room Cancer is over-the-top on this one. Time to move on. -
You guys are so fucking gay
Oregon is not the cuter best friend. They fucking suck. Fuck off -
You don't want to admit it. Nobody does. But they Bling the fuck out of UW.backthepack said:You guys are so fucking gay

As faggy as Oregon is with that shit, the youngsters eat it up.
p.s. We're talking about prom queens here. -
Cristobol is loser. Like @StrongArmCobra their class is going to fucking suck this year. He’s not going to Oregon.
-
And the prom queen isn't marrying the rich or cute kid, either. Just fucking them to have a good time while humiliating the best friend who bends over backwards for her.backthepack said:Cristobol is loser. Don't make me explain this Relationships 101 shit. -

If BTP and PGOS are complaining, I know I'm on the right track.

The analogy fucking sucks when you have no clue about the situation.TurdBomber said:If BTP and PGOS are complaining, I know I'm on the right track.
Comparing recruiting to teenage relationships is one of weirdest thing this bored does.
