Its fucking rich to come in after the fact with a Haha, you idiots were so wrong when you never posted on the subject at the time.
The fact is Malloe fucked up his first two big recruitments which were the sole results we had to go on for almost two years of recruiting. The odds that an elite recruiter would have those results were not high.
It was a small sample so we didn't know for sure. But the thing is that in college football you don't always have the luxury of time to get to the long term equilibrium. One bad or unlucky year can change the trajectory of a program or coaching tenure. And as Sark was always keen on reminding us 7-6 is just three plays from 10-3.
So I understand the mob getting out the pitchforks before all the evidence was in. Action is always of utmost urgency amd programs, if not prodded, often wait too long.
That being said I posted AT THE TIME NOT AFTER THE FACT that although finishing in second for Marlon was worthless it was a good indicator for future expectations that Malloe was able to secure his verbal in the first place and hang on to him for a year in the face of shady shenanigans.

We are all animals, as much as we like to think we have evolved and all that bullshit. This fast/slow strategy provides a nice frame of analyzing a kids behavior and how he might react to how certain schools recruit him. So to translate to something you would understand - we are looking for regression toward the mean in behavior in terms of how a kid would behave depending on what kind of a socioeconomic background he comes from.RoadDawg55 said:
