Kalepo is hard to tell because he's so raw, but like you've said Frenchie, the tools are there.
One guy to add to this is Aric Davison out of Richland. Here's his hudl.
I think he's a C prospect most likely (6'2), but he is built like Nick Harris (long arms, Cylon body) and naturally powerful and quick.
Already has offers from UCLA, BYU and Hawaii
Thomas (Tackle/ Guard Prospect)- Good frame but mobility and strength need work. He did real well at the WSU camp in pass pro, needs work on run blocking. I think his dad is a legacy guy who played at UW. It would be a stretch to see UW offering but will still play MWC football at the least. I know WSU has chatted him up a bit.
Elder (Guard Prospect)- He has gotten considerably better this off-season, could be a 4 star this time next year. Needs to shave neck beard and work on ankle flexibility. Kid is very focused and driven and I believe is a straight-A student as well. His Steilacoom highlights were impressive this year. Needs to be able to do that against serious D1 talent. Needs work on pass pro. Not sure why UW has not shown more interest in this kid.
Davison (Guard/ Center Prospect)- A bit on the small side but is a projected 4 year starter on one of the top 4A programs in the state and is very strong (see first play of sophomore highlights). Moves well, needs to be more aggressive and better pad level. Kid ran a 5.19 40 at the Opening regional too. He’s LDS so UW may be treating him like a 2021 recruit which means he may have wife/ kids/mortgage by his sophomore year.
Kalepo (Tackle Prospect)- The kid is outstanding- size, mobility, strength and flexibility are all there. UW got a good one here. He is a bit rough technique-wise with his OL skills but that is easy to fix. Has clearly been enlisted to start recruiting for UW which should net benefits. From RB so getting shot before graduation is a real possibility here.
Is he really autistic or was this a Tom Rinaldi piano, attention seeking story?
Based off his film alone, he's amazing. What happens when he struggles at the college level? Can he be coached?
I know we have an OKG program, but how would he deal with Victor or Kevin King fucking around with him, even if it's in good intent?
Players get coached hard. It won't be easy to dominant at the next level. The players might be good people, but they are still kids. They will fuck with him and make him the butt of jokes simply because he's around everyday.
Davison week 2
Thomas week 1
Elder week 1
To be honest I think Thomas has some of the best film so far.
Davison is a natural, it's just his size that could be an issue.
Kalepo is raw but has crazy upside.
Edler, I love.
Thank you for the links, tho.
My prediction based off what I have seen on Twitter is that Davison is the next OL offer. He definitely has bubble size though so this may be a Nick Harris type leap of faith. But here's the weird thing- Tom Moore (father of Kellen Moore and HOF HS coach) is one of Davisons coaches at Richland. You have to believe Moore and Peterson have a relationship of some sort which may be driving UWs interest in Davison over, say, Elder. Moore sent two kids through Peterson's BSU program, one of which contributed to a large part of his success at Boise.
A D1 coach once told me they only care about two things- 1) what they see on film, and 2) what the kids coaches say about them. Coach endorsements are huge and may explain lack of interest in Elder (who knows what his coaches are feeding to college recruiters). I'll be surprised if Elder does not have an offer from somewhere within the next month or two though.
