This guy can weigh 300 lbs if he's an ounce. Big dude. This system thrives on big DEs bringing heat from the edge.
He'll end up inside though. He's not in the Greg Gaines category of wrecking balls (only comparing because...well...WDT you know), but he'll fill the WDT role nicely and be a starter in a couple of years barring an uptick in BDT and PDT recruiting.

Size wise I could see him in the Levi mold in that 275-290 range where he is able to get up the field and cause issues
Our DL last year was unique size wise. Schools don't have three 315+ pound starters. Alabama had one starter over 300 on the DL.
For the defense we run, you want one fat, big fucker in the middle (like Gaines) and long, 280-300 pound guys playing 5 tech. That's what Jaylen Johnson, Levi, Draco, and Gaye (although he could be Vea who can play NT too) are. Scrempos is another that fits the mold size wise. We need more of those types than the huge, NT types.
Qualls was very good, but schematically and skill set wise, Jaylen Johnson is a better fit next to Gaines and Vea.

Agree 100%, which is exactly why we desperately need a 300lb NT in this class. Assuming Gaines and Vea are gone after this year, we basically only have Ricky McCoy and Shane "vitamin packs" Bowman to fit that role in 2018. Not ideal.

Reason #160 not to TBS
Go find the Joe Ngata thread. That's the anti-TBS holy grail
Draco is a head scratcher for sure. I though he'd do well. Perhaps a story of football hits college decides he doesn't like the sport and spends more time maintaining his hair than practicing. Your guess is as good or better than mine.

Plus another example of somebody taking way too literally HS results in evaluating players and their abilities for being successful at the next level.

Edit: looks like he quit football altogether
