Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
Democrats are still pathetic
https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2017/03/20/politics/democrats-gorsuch-filibuster-nuclear-option/index.htmlTerrible.
A decision not to filibuster would likely be cast as a kind of strategic retreat. It assumes, or provides insurance for the possibility, that Trump will have another seat to fill in the coming years. By this logic, McConnell would -- in what would be an even more tense fight, with the ideological balance of the court at stake -- have a more difficult time getting his caucus to go nuclear.
Of course this pathetic party isn't going to fight. Making any sort of deal with McConnell is suicide. And has always been.
I know the consensus on this board is that the dems are radical fascists. But you guys are lucky. Your party is insane to the point that it kills voter roles and gerrymanders to win election, steals scotus seats, and shatters every single obstruction record known to man.
The democrats "strategically retreat." But we need to unify behind this crap. There's a reason even dem voters don't approve of the party.

Gorsuch is not mainstream and can be attacked for his corporatism. The democrats cower as always
The only reason not to confirm him would be payback for Merrick Garland.
He's much better than I hoped for from a Trump nominee.
All
1. Not even remotely progressive. Complete sellouts
2. Partisan hacks
3. Obnoxious as fuck.
At least when someome like Chuck Schumer sells out he doesn't look like a total jackass in doing it
what an absolutely pathetic political party. do they actually believe for a second McConnell would hold to his word? 0 chance
