Kentucky took them out of whatever the initial set they were trying to do and did a great job of defending the 3 point line (people can say what they want about Cal but his Kentucky teams by the end of the year are very well coached) ...
When you need to get a 3 pointer off and everybody knows it it can be beyond challenging to get a good look off unless you're able to get 5 guys on the court that can all shoot (taking away most help defense) and have guys that can get their own shot off in those situations 1 on 1.
