Where's this eval coming from? I'm expecting him to destroy the combine, though his 40 time might not be special. Everything else will be.

Actually listed at 6'3 192lbs combine measurements. And it came from combine scouts.

STRENGTHS Rare height for the position. Solid job of restricting catch window on routes outside the numbers. Shoves receivers toward boundary and drifts into their running lane to decrease catch opportunity. Length creates challenge for receivers used to winning at the high point. Instinctive with good feel for finding football. Allowed just one touchdown over last 101 targets. Six career interceptions with hands to make the circus pick. Patient from press coverage. Quick to turn and locate once his back is to the quarterback. Saw increase in pass breakups in senior season. Willing to get physical with blocking receivers when it comes time to disengage and make a tackle. Has played all four spots in secondary and slot corner as well.

He would be money for the Hawks. That would be a hell of a pick.

I still think some NFL team will do the proper research and see King has all the measureables and produced at an extremely high level.

King had the lowest completion percentage allowed of any CB his junior year. I think it was like 37%. I don't know what the percentage was his senior year but he seemed even more productive.

I actually saw Jones have a mediocre game or two. I don't remember once thinking King played shitty. He allowed a few balls against USC but they were all great throw/catches with him in postition.

I didn't know this thread existed, as I posted some of these same thoughts in another thread, but I think King is the most underrated player for the Huskies in this draft. He should be a 2nd-3rd round pick. He's the perfect size for the Seahawks for a S/CB backup, a flexible spot where they're really weak at now and losing games because of this lack of depth. I'm sure the Seahawks are looking hard at him.

King will likely out perform is draft position but he's probably more of a guy that will fit a certain style/system versus being a plug and play guy like Jones or Peters who would be successful in any system.

I'm guessing last half-dozen of the 1st thru the first dozen 2nd picks.

6'3 4.4 guys with + ball skills, and a willing tackler aren't in every draft. He should get snatched by then.

Who do you draft if you are picking at 15-26 and you need a corner? Jones or King? That's a tough call

Peters was a first rounder on basically every mock draft.

I'd still take Jones over King, but I love them both.

Here's a post draft review of the 2015 mocks. Of the 10 final mocks listed, Peters was a first rounder in all 10 of them with an average draft slot of 21 (ranged from 11 to 27).

He was definitely a consensus first rounder.

So far King hasn't hit a single mock I've seen other than Rob Staton at SeahawksDraftBlog. I think he goes in the first more likely than not, but it's nowhere near the confidence I had that Peters was going in the first.

He's getting some more recognition. Will be interesting to see where Jeremiah mocks him. I think the Seahawks pick will come down to him or Melifonwu. I can't decide who I want more:

Since returning from the NFL Scouting Combine earlier this week, I've had several conversations with personnel executives and area scouts. It's always fascinating to find out which players are generating the most buzz as a result of their combine performance. One player who kept coming up in these conversations --Washington cornerback Kevin King.

King has outstanding size and he ran much faster than evaluators expected. He also had an outstanding field workout, displaying excellent quickness and change-of-direction skills. Heading into the combine, I had King just outside my list of the draft's top 50 players, but he clearly established himself as a top-40 selection with his performance in Indianapolis. Browner was 220 pounds and ran a 4.6+. Outside of size, they don't play the same way.
