Very funny. Our mutual KOP experience is older than three of those four clips. The fourth is what I watch when I want to make myself cry, remembering what it was like to care about Cal Football. Even now, ten years later, watching Zach Follett makes me want to tackle somebody, anybody, with extreme prejudice.

I am fairly familiar with said scandal. I've had a beer in the WAC sports bar named after "Torchy"' who ran said slush fund. It was so bad the men's crew was even hit with a post season ban for 2 years. That's how the 1958 team ended up racing against the Ruskies in Leningrad. First time a US team competed in the Soviet Union and Keith Jackson called it the best single event he ever called. Lou Gellerman was in that crew along with Dick Erickson.
