As it related to our country, I don't think the US Constitution and the Founders would agree, nor most historians of religion. But of the 3 monotheisms - in terms how they are currently practiced - it is the least compatible with the concept of separation of Church and State.
On a side note, remember that even in places like Great Britain, there's still an official state religion with the head of state also being head of the church. But the difference is no one gives a shit an you're free not to attend on Sundays.
