CNN is a victim. They can't help it but the progressives on this site understand the helpless feelings

No matter what side of the aisle you are on, you have to admit that this is a really pussy move.

Reagan missed it once because he got shot and still phoned in. Before that, JFK skipped it in protest of them not allowing women.

Every other president has had the balls to show up.

Carter also skipped. His excuse was exhaustion which is pretty lame. Trump will probably say that he is protesting fake media (or something to that effect) but the real reason is that his ego can't take a bit of roasting.

There was a Frontline episode highlighting Trump's march to the Presidency. A key event was the White House Press dinner about 7 years ago where Obama talked a bunch of shit about Trump with Trump in the audience. Trump was publicly humiliated with no means to respond. Even in shitty roasts on Comedy Central, the roastee gets a chance to throw some shit back.

Trump sat there and you could see his jaw set with a forced smile. You could see him thinking "I am going to fuck you in the ass someday'.

It's no coincidence Trump is overturning 8 years of Obamas work in about 8 weeks.

Skipping the dinner is a big middle finger for that night.

How so? Because I related a tale from an Emmy award winning series on PBS almost verbatim?

    Or that you didn't?

trump has undone obama's legislative and policy legacy in 8 weeks? I don't care what Emmy winning show you are watching, the fact is you are a retard if you believe this or that is your conclusion.

    Only poor people are employed.

It sounded more like you lapping up Trump jizz than "relating a tale."

Calculated move to make the idiots in the media froth even more. And it's working. Go figure.

Who cares. The liberal media and Trump aren't fond of each other. Many journalists wouldn't have shown either just like members of congress.

The original intent of the dinner was to raise scholarship money for budding journalists IIRC. Seems to have morphed into something more self serving.

I'm sure you guys all popped the corn and played hide the sausage at the past years events.

    Dear comrade,

No I wouldn't. But then again why wouldn't he go? He had a media that did everything for him. Provided billions in free campaign advertising. Hid his crimes such as Fast and Furious, Iran, Benghazi etc. etc. etc.

With all that being given to him and 100 blow jobs at the banquet, why not go?

You were in full meltdown mode every minute of Obama. I'm too lazy to pull up your posts. But holy shit it was spectacular.

I would have respected Obama much more if he would have stopped trying to control the propaganda emanating from the Press corp by being their friend

Much ado about nothing. Again, it's going to be an exhausting 4 years for the haters.

If Obama was half as good as a lot of people here think he was, Hillary would have won the presidency in a landslide, but alas...

Seriously, how is it working? His approval ratings are in the toilet. The media are going to continue bash that fat fucker like a piñata and he's not going to respond? He's going to need public support and good PR if he has any hope for an ambitious legislative agenda. Unless it was all bullshit.
