It is all part of the Alt-right, kkk, neo-nazi, christian nation, aryan nation, militia movement, mythos.
The evil feds killed good white christian folks in Ruby Ridge.
The evil feds killed good white christian folks in Waco.
The evil feds framed Timothy McVeigh, a good white christian who just wanted revenge agains the evil feds for Ruby Ridge.
The evil feds are plotting to invite the UN in to destroy good fearing, white american christian culture.
We must trust Tump and embrace Russia. Because if you stop and think about it, they are white, just like us. And they hate fags as much as we do. What could be wrong with em?
I don't agree with any of those statements except the Ruby Ridge one (and I don't even agree that they were good folks, but I do agree they were killed unjustly). So, strawmen aside, what is the actual argument that the government didn't murder these people? Or should I just put you down for not having one?
I'm not hear to argue who was at fault. I don't really care.
I'm here to celebrate how much white christian america has to be thankful for now. They have multiple martyrs they can point to as they foment how evil the feds are. And how Trump and the Russians are going to save us from them.
We get it. You hate yourself for being white. I know a way to fix that.

You aren't part of the alt-Reich though.
Right, but that's my point. One side only cares about using the Weavers for their narrative. And the other side seems to only care about using the other side's narrative for their narrative. I'm actually interested in what happened in these things (same with police shootings), regardless whose politics the truth of the given scenario happens to benefit.
If the victims had been Black Panthers with guns, instead of White Aryans with guns, would you be so sympathetic to the victims and so convinced this was just a case of an inept police action?
The only reason so many white folks are outraged, is because this time, the victims of the police action were white.

If the facts were the same, yes I would.
If the victims had been Black Panthers with guns and the facts remained the same would you be so quick to defend the gubmint?
I doubt it. There's a partisan hack in this thread but it's not who you think it is.
FWIW, IMO the Weavers weren't even Christians, not that it would change my opinion if they were. Sara Bennett claims to have become a Christian after they moved to Montana. Not all conservative religious whackos are Christians.
I was wrong in that it was Bush's Feds, not Clintons.
I am old. The years run together
Clinton's fed's. Janet Reno in charge.
Ruby Ridge took place in August of 1992. Bush was president until January 20th, 1993. Reno was AG of Florida at the time. Idaho is not in Florida. HTH.
I was visiting family in Montana less than 100 miles from RR when this went down. Government handled it horribly. If you don't like the anti-government nuts, this wasn't a good incident for your side.

Met him briefly, he was unremarkable - what I do remember was the T shirts for sale:
1) "I have a dream" with a Confederate Flag over the White House....and
2) "If I knew they would be this much trouble, I would have picked my own cotton"
Brilliant....very impressive
